ENTERING OF NUMBERS
If a number value with a maximum of more than one digit (max. 3) has to be entered,
the maximum intervall between the digits is 2 seconds. After 2 seconds any value
entered sofar is convalidated. Should the value entered be higher or lower than limit,
the maximum or minimum value accepted will be forced automatically.
ENTERING OF CODES
The codes may be composed of 4, 5 or 6 digits according to programming. For code
programming by console only number keys (from 0 to 9) are accepted. Once the code
length has been programmed (4, 5 or 6 digits) it is not possible to enter codes with
less digits.
Deletion of an existing code:
when the code is modifiable, as soon as you press any
key all existing code is deleted.
The only exceptions are the EXIT key (quit) and the arrow keys

that permit the
deletion of the last digit.
ENTERING OF TELEPHONE NUMBERS
The telephone numbers are always composed of maximum 16 digits. The number
keys (from 0 to 9), the DTMF keys hash (
#
) and star (
*
) as well as the MEM key
(pause) are accepted.
Deletion of an existing telephone number:
when the telephone number is
modifiable, as soon as you press any key all existing telephone number is deleted.
The only exceptions are the EXIT key (quit) and the arrow keys

ENTERING OF HEXADECIMAL CODES
If a hexadecimal code (e.g. report code) has to be entered, the characters (from A to
F) are to be entered by pressing a combination of the hash key followed by a number
key:

= character D
#5
= character E
#6
= character F

ENTERING OF A DESCRIPTION
This kind of menu permits the composition of a description composed of maximum 4
words selected from the onboard vocabulary.
Descriptions are viewed as in the opposite figure, where:

Y stands for the word to be selected (from 1 to 4)
z
x stands for the word currently selected
In this menu the keys assume the following meaning:

w
to go back to the previous word of the vocabulary
+
y
to go forward to the next word of the vocabulary
+
MEM
to go forward to the first word starting with next letter of the alphabet,
e.g. from ALL to BY-PASS
+
*
NO
to delete the word
+
#
YES
to go forward to the next word to be the selected (1 > 2 > 3 > 4 > 1 and
so on)
Saving of the description
+
EXIT
to save the description
The control panel will ask if the description is to be copied into the zone/program/
remote control description.
If you accept (by pressing the #YES key), the description is viewed as zone/program/
remote control description on the display and announced as voice message.
If you deny (by pressing the *NO key), the description will only be used as voice
message.
N.B. The display can view descriptions of maximum 16 digits, all further character will
be cutoff. The descriptions can be modified manually only by PC.
