To restrict the number of added multicast groups. The value range is
0–1024.

Default status

】

For 065-7434 Signamax 24-Port 10/100 L3 Switch, the default number of

multicast groups added to the port is 1024.

[no] ip l2-multicast drop-unknown

This command is used to configure L2 m

ulticast forwarding to discard the unknown

multicast packets belonging to the specified VLAN. The no format of the command is used
to recover the default action of L2 multicast forwarding on the unknown multicast packets
belonging to a specified VLAN, that is, flood in the VLAN.

ip l2-multicast drop-unknown

no ip l2-multicast drop-unknown

Default status: By default, there is no the configuration of L2 multicast forwarding to discard

unknown multicast packets on the VLAN. If the multicast packets of the L2 table item are not

found during L2 multicast forwarding (called unknown multicast packets), the multicast

packets flood in the VLAN by default.

[no] snmp-server enable traps l2-multicast [change]

This command is used to configure to send the L2 multicast Trap messages. The no format of

the command is used to prohibit sending L2 multicast Trap messages. If CHANGE is specified,

this configuration is only for L2 multicast change Trap. Otherwise, it is for all L2 multicast TRAP.

This configuration is valid only for L2 multicast Trap. To send TRAP message, the options about

configuring SNMP sending TRAP need to be configured. For SNMP configuration, refer to the

Chapter of configuring SNMP.
