1. Press and hold the
Source
button that you want to program a crosspoint to. The source
that is currently assigned to that
Source
button will light on the PST Bus of the
Program/Preset MLE .
2. Select the desired source on the PST Bus of the Program/Preset MLE (the bottom
MLE).
3. Release both buttons. The Key source is now stored in memory for the selected
Source
button.
4. Press the
Source
button that you just programmed , look at the display, and verify that
the key type and source are correctly programmed.
This completes the procedure to assign a crosspoint to a Source button.
Storing DSK Crosspoint Assignments
The DSK Setup Menu allows you to store the default states for each Downstream Keyer. The menu
captures all eight crosspoints for the selected DSK, and stores the crosspoints, key types and clip/gain
settings in the switcher’s installation file. The menu also allows you to lock DSK crosspoints, so that
they cannot be changed during normal switcher operation. The
DSK Setup Menu lists each DSK
crosspoint, its lock/unlock status, the name of the crosspoint and the assigned Key type.
Use the following procedure to store a DSK crosspoint assignment:
1. Ensure that your DSK Source buttons are programmed as desired. If not, refer to the
section “ DSK Source Bus Setup ” on page 7–41.
2. Navigate to the DSK Setup Menu as follows:

Tip
You do not have to choose identical Key types and sources on each
DSK Source Bus . For example, Source 1 on DSK 1 can have CG 1,
while Source 1 on DSK 2 can have CG 2. Effectively, you can
program 16 different Key sources.

Tip
To reveal the actual Preset Bus source for any DSK Key Bus , simply
hold down any one of the eight downstream Key Bus buttons, then
release once you have noted the source. This feature provides a quick
and accurate way to verify your downstream key sources prior to
taking them on air.
Important Recalling a setup from memory that includes a DSK will overwrite the
programmed DSK button that the memory was originally stored in
(unless it was locked on installation).

Tip
When you reset the DSK (refer to the section “ Resetting the System ”
on page 2–19), the default DSK states are restored.
