Matricized Wipes
Using the
Matricize Wipe
feature, all Synergy switchers allow you to turn any standard pattern into a
matrix wipe, with full functionality in positioning and modifying the custom “matricized” pattern.
Use the following procedure to “Matricize” a wipe:
1. Select any matrix wipe pattern. The
Matrix Menu
is displayed.
Matrix Menu
2. Select the desired “standard” wipe pattern using the buttons in the
Pattern Selection
Section
.
3. On the
Matrix Menu
, toggle
Matricized
to
Yes
.
4. Modify the matricized wipe in the normal manner, using all available wipe modifiers
(including the modifiers for matrix wipes, such as
Square
,
Tall
,
Wide
, and
Anim
).
5. To disable the feature, toggle
Matricized
to
No
.
This completes the procedure to “Matricize” a wipe.
User Wipes
The switcher’s
User Wipe
feature allows you to select from over 60 additional wipes (that are
normally hidden from view on the panel). Once selected, you can place the “user” wipe on one of the
eight (seven on the Synergy 2) available
User Wipe
buttons in the
Pattern Selection Section
. The
user wipes that you select are then available any time the specific User Wipe buttons are pressed.
The
User Wipe
buttons are essentially “presets” that can be programmed with your favorite User
Wipes, and used in the normal manner to suit the requirements of your shows. Note that a User Wipe
is
not
a standard wipe with pattern modifiers applied —
that
function can easily be performed with
memory presets.
Use the following procedure to select a
User Wipe
:
1. In the
Pattern Control Group
, press
SET USER
to display the
User Wipe Menu
.
Note
All wipes on the switcher will be matricized at this point
