The
Key Over
function can be regarded as a fourth “next transition”, which is mutually
exclusive with the
BKGD
,
KEY 1
, and
KEY 2
buttons. When
KEY OVER
is pressed,
all three “next transition” buttons automatically turn off.
Refer to the section “
DVE Send and Keying
” for additional details on the
KEY OVER
button, when
used in conjunction with the
DVE Send
feature.
Transition Limit
The
TRANS LIMIT
(transition limit) button located in the
MLE Transition
group
allows you to stop
a transition at a preset position — in between the two absolute
Fader
limits.
Use the following procedure to perform a transition limit effect:
1. Ensure that the correct MLE is selected in the
Preview Bus
group.
2. Move the
Fader
to an upper or lower limit, and note the limit that you choose. The
Fader
must be returned to this limit in a subsequent step.
3. Select a Dissolve, Wipe, or DVE Send as your next transition.
4. Move the
Fader
, and
manually
set the transition to the desired position.
•
In the case of a dissolve, visually set the desired mix (superimposition) between
Program and Preset.
•
In the case of a wipe, visually set the desired position between Program and Preset.
•
In the case of a DVE Send, visually set the desired position
or
mix
(superimposition) between Program and Preset.
5. Leave the
Fader
at its preset position, and press
TRANS LIMIT
. The button lights
momentarily
, and the fader position is stored.
6. Move the
Fader
back to the limit selected in step 2.
7. Press
TRANS LIMIT
to turn on the
Transition Limit
function.
8. Use the
AUTO TRANS
button to perform the transition. The transition moves to the
limit that you selected in step 4, and stops.
9. There are two ways to continue the transition:
•
Leave the
TRANS LIMIT
button turned on. When you use the
AUTO TRANS
button again, the transition reverses — and returns to its starting point.
•
Turn off the
TRANS LIMIT
button. When you use the
Fader
or
AUTO TRANS
again, the transition continues to the full Preset Bus source.
This completes the procedure to perform a transition limit effect.
