Scanning and Sending Originals to the
Machine
DocsConnect scans originals using the scanner feature of an MFP, and sends them to RICOH e-Sharing
Box.
You can specify the following folders as destination folders:
• "1.Files" folder and "3.Workflows" folder in a personal folder or the "AllUsers" folder
• "4.NAS" folder in the "AllUsers" folder
• "1.Files" folder in a limited shared folder
In addition, files scanned with an MFP equipped with the Smart Operation Panel can be converted into
Microsoft Office files (*.docx, *.xlsx, *.pptx). For details, contact your service representative.
1. Press [Log In].
2. Enter the user ID and password, and then press [Log In].
3. Press [Personal Folder] or [Shared Folder] in the scan area.
To send the scanned file to a personal folder or a limited shared folder, select [Personal Folder]. To
send the scanned file to the "AllUsers" folder, select [Shared Folder]. To send the scanned file to an
external storage that is linked with this machine, select the "4.NAS" folder under [Shared Folder].
4. Select a destination folder to store the scanned file.
To change the destination folder, select [Change] or the folder name. Select a folder from the list,
and then press [OK] or [Completed].
5. Specify the scan settings.
To change the scan settings, select [Change] in [Scan Settings] or the item you want to change.
For details about the scan settings that can be configured, see page 78 "Scan Settings".
6. Set the originals on the Auto Document Feeder (ADF) or exposure glass.
7. Press [Start Scanning] or [Scan].
The MFP scans the originals, and then sends the scanned file to the machine.
If the confirmation screen appears, follow the message displayed on the screen.
