Faxing Files
To fax files, first you must specify the IP address of your MFP in "Save Fax Trans/Dev Info" under
"System Settings".
1.
Open a file to be sent by fax.
2.
Open the menu.
• When using iOS smart devices: Tap the linkage icon (
).
• When using Android smart devices: Press the menu button.
3.
Tap [Transmit by Fax].
4.
Tap [Destination].
5.
Specify a destination on the destination selection screen.
To select a destination from the smart device's address book, tap [Browse Address Book], and then
select a destination.
To select a destination by entering a fax number manually, tap [Fax Number] or [Manual Entry],
and then enter a fax number manually.
6.
Tap [Page to Send] to specify whether to send a cover sheet.
To send a file with a cover sheet, select [Cover & Document]. Select [Cover Sheet Only] to send a
cover sheet, and select [Document Only] to send a file.
7.
To send a cover sheet, tap the cover sheet format cell, and then select a format for the
cover sheet.
