Scan the connecting code displayed on the computer's screen using the smart device.
Place connecting code inside the frame according to the instructions on the screen.
The smart device is registered to the machine, and then connects to the machine.

Tap [Close] or press the back button.
Folders that you can access are displayed on the list.
• Up to 50 smart devices can be registered. If the total number of registered smart devices exceeds
50, you cannot register a new device.
• You cannot click [Register Device] in Step 3 when registering new devices is impossible as the
function is disabled under "Security Settings". Administrator's privileges are required to change the
settings.
• If the expiration date of a registered smart device passes, the registered smart device cannot
connect to the machine. If this happens, register the smart device again.
• If DocsConnect does not work properly, check if you can access a network using your computer's
default web browser.
• To access the machine from outside of the intranet, select the "Use relay function" check box, and
then scan the connecting code. If you access the machine without selecting the "Use relay function"
check box, disconnect the smart device from the machine, and then connect it again.
