Error message Causes and solutions
This MFP does not have a facsimile
function. Use an MFP that is equipped with fax functions.
Cannot transmit because the storage
device is not connected to the
facsimile via a network. • Check whether the fax is connected to a network.
• Check whether the fax is connected to a network that the
smart device can access.
Failed to send a file to the Interactive
Whiteboard (IWB). The PDF file being sent to the interactive whiteboard contains
100 pages or more or the size of it is 100 MB or larger. Send
a file that contains fewer than 100 pages and the size of it is
smaller than 100 MB.
Failed to upload a file from the
Interactive Whiteboard (IWB). There is no image displayed or nothing is written on the
interactive whiteboard. Display the screen of another device
or file or write something on the interactive whiteboard, and
then display the connecting code.
JavaScript is disabled in your
browser.

Cannot open the folder because of
the security setting of the browser
you are using. ActiveX is disabled in your browser. Enable ActiveX on the

Failed to open the folder in the e-
Sharing Box due to the following
error. You have logged in to the machine using a different user
account. Log out from the computer. Log in to the computer
using your actual account, and then access the machine
again.
Cannot display the file because it is
not supported. The machine does not support the file format.
If this message appears when you open a file whose format is
supported, the file may be corrupted or may include
unnecessary information. Open the file using Microsoft Office,
and then save it using one of the following
extensions: .docx, .xlsx, or .pptx.
