Using the Address Book in the Machine
RICOH e-Sharing Box can be used as an LDAP server.
MFPs connected to a network can access RICOH e-Sharing Box to obtain user information and the
address book stored in the machine. You can manage user information centrally because there is no
need to configure the settings in each MFP.
To use the address book in the machine from an MFP, you need to configure the settings in "LDAP
Settings" under "System Settings". Select the "Use LDAP server function" check box, enter the base
domain name, and then click [Apply].
In addition, you need to register the machine as the LDAP server in the system settings of your MFP. For
details to configure the LDAP server settings, see the manuals provided with your MFP.
• The address book in this machine is managed using a web browser. For details to access the
machine using a web browser, see page 17 "Accessing from a Computer".
