Turning the Power On and Off
• The supplied AC adapter is for use with this machine only. Do not use it with other appliances.
Doing so could result in fire or electric shock.
• Be sure to push the plug of the power cord fully into the wall outlet. Partially inserted plugs
create an unstable connection that can result in unsafe buildup of heat.
• Do not place the power cord in areas people frequently pass through. They may trap over it,
which could result in an injury.
• If "Auto restart" is specified in "System Settings", the machine restarts at the time you specify. We
recommend that you restart the machine once a day for stable operation.
Starting the Machine
Before starting RICOH e-Sharing Box up, make sure the LAN cable is connected to the machine. If you
turn on the main power before connecting the LAN cable, the machine may not connect to the network.
1.
Make sure the power cord is firmly plugged into the uninterruptible power supply.
2.
Push the main power switch on the front left bottom of the machine.
The beep sounds, and the machine starts up.
• We recommend that you use an uninterruptible power supply for the machine. For details about
how to use the uninterruptible power supply, see the manuals provided with it.
• Do not connect electronic devices other than this machine and an external backup hard disk to the
uninterruptible power supply.
• See page 123 "Guide to Components" for the names and information about the machine's
