Receiving Text Messages
When your phone is on and you are in a wireless coverage area, you automatically receive
new text messages.
The new message notification may include the following options:
䢇
View:
Open a text message so you can view its full contents.
䢇
Dismiss:
Close the notification and put the message into your
Inbox.
If you have multiple messages, the notification includes the
number of messages.
Did you know?
Message notifications include the message text unless you have turned on
privacy mode (see “Customizing Your Messaging Settings” on page 163). If
privacy mode is on, the notification states only the type of incoming
message.
Tip
The
Messaging status
field on the
Today
screen also shows you the
number of unread messages.
