Virtual Key Names
TeemTalk Virtual Key Name Functions
465
The following example will read up to 512 of any characters, timing
out after 500 milliseconds and not allow a key press to cancel the
read:
<VK_FILE_I><com1:>0,-500,0<VK_FEND>
Note that the text cursor will be displayed as static instead of blink-
ing while the read is being performed. This visual indication is use-
ful when accessing a device such as COM1.
Insert Delay
The following command can be used to insert a delay of
nnn
tenths
of a second:
<VK_SLEEP
nnn
>
For example, to insert a delay of 10 seconds you would enter:
<VK_SLEEP100>
The delay can be interrupted by pressing any key.
Note that if you want characters to be processed before the delay,
insert any other VK virtual key name immediately before
<VK_SLEEP
nnn
>
. For example:
123<VK_TAB><VK_SLEEP100>456
If you do not include the additional virtual key name, the
<VK_SLEEP
nnn
>
delay will be executed before any preceding
characters are processed.
Action Macro on
Keyboard Lock/
Unlock (IBM 5250)
When running the IBM 5250 emulation you can specify that a macro
is actioned whenever a keyboard lock or unlock command is
received.
First define a key or key combination that is not used for any other
function with the macro to be performed. The macro must begin
with
<LOCK>
for a keyboard lock event, or
<UNLOCK>
for a key-
board unlock event.
