Tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) system
DETECTION
CONDITION
When the DSC HU/CM detects malfunction in the memory for storing
a calculated tire pressure value.
FAIL-SAFE
FUNCTION
Tire pressure monitoring system warning light illuminates after
flashes.
Inhibits the TPMS control.
POSSIBLE CAUSE
DSC HU/CM internal error
DSC HU/CM malfunction

STEP
INSPECTION
ACTION
1
INITIALIZE A TPMS MEMORY
Switch the ignition to off.
Connect the M-MDS (IDS) to DLC-2.
After the vehicle is identified, select the
following items from the initial screen of
the IDS.
Select “Chassis”.
Select “ABS/DSC”.
Select “TPMS DTC Reset
for ABS/DSC”.
Perform the procedure according to the
directions on the screen.
Is the initialization normally completed?
YesGo to the next step.
No Repeat the inspection from Step 1.
If the malfunction recurs, replace the
DSC HU/CM, then go to the next step.
