10.2.2 Modifying Arrays
Once the array has been created and is online you can make changes to the following:
• The name of the array.
• The Read-Ahead and Writeback cache parameters.
Note
You can restore the original settings by clicking the
RESTORE
button which will cancel any changes you
have made as long as you have not clicked the
APPLY
button.

From the Main screen Configuration section, click the
<Array_Name>
you wish to modify.

The Array Information window will open, type a new name for the array in the
Name
field and click the
APPLY
button.
Note
If the array was trusted or never initialized, you can also initialize the array from this window by clicking
the
INITIALIZE
button.
Note
If an array has been initialized the button will change to “Re-Initialize.”
10.2.3 Verify Parity
It is desirable to perform a parity check as a normal maintenance procedure to ensure data integrity. Also,
if a RAID 5, 6, and 50 disk array experiences a situation where a controller is replaced after the controller
is powered off with write operations in progress, it may be necessary to verify and correct the parity data
on the array.

VERIFY PARITY
button.
