Disposal
The product contains parts that are deemed to be hazardous waste at the end of the life of the
product.
After Link 6 has reached its life expectancy, you have two options.
• Continue using the device.
• Replace the robot and dispose of the old device appropriately.
If you wish to continue using Link 6 after its expected lifespan, Kinova highly recommends that
you return the device temporarily to Kinova for routine servicing that includes inspection of the
robot, as well as replacement and repair of any internal components that may be worn out.
If you wish to dispose of the robot, note that the robot contains materials that can be
recycled. However, some of the materials are deemed hazardous. Specialized companies can
dismantle the unit and sort out these materials. When you dispose of the unit, inform yourself
about local regulations concerning waste management.
