Use to set the time zone for display.

Example—This sets the time zone to 5 hours behind UTC.

Use to display the system time and the date.
•
Example 1—Shows time source value when clock is manually configured
host1# show clock detail

Example 2—Shows time source value when clock is synchronized with NTP

Before You Configure NTP
Before you configure NTP, complete the following procedures:
1.
Configure at least one IP address on the router.
2.
Check that the system clock reads the correct time to within 15 minutes, and that the
time zone and summer time settings are correct.
