Release Information
Command introduced before JUNOSe Release 7.1.0.
vrf
keyword and
vrfName
variable added in JUNOSe Release 7.2.0.
Description
Configures a static IPv6 prefix route. The
no
version removes a static IPv6 prefix
route.
Options
■
vrfName
—Name of the VRF; string of 1–32 alphanumeric characters
■
prefix
—Combination of both a prefix and prefix length (mask) value. The prefix
(IP address or network) defines the IPv6 interface or network. The prefix (mask)
length of the IPv6 prefix is a decimal value that indicates how many of the
high-order contiguous bits of the address comprise the prefix (the network portion
of the address). A slash mark must precede the decimal value. An example of a
prefix would be “ 7fff::0/16” , “ 7fff::0/32” , “ 7fff:2:3::0/24” , or “ 7fff::1/128” .
■
nextHop
—IPv6 address of the next-hop to reach the destination prefix (network).
The next-hop address need not be directly connected; recursion locates the
physical next-hop.
■
interfaceType
—Interface type; see “Interface Types and Specifiers” on page 5
■
interfaceSpecifier—
Particular interface; format varies according to interface type;
see Interface Types and Specifiers on page 5
■
distance
—Preference value for the IPv6 route. A default value of 1 gives static
routes precedence over any other type of route (with the exception of connected
routes).
