HYDRAULIC DISC BRAKE
Install the push rod into the master cylinder and the
snap ring into the groove i n the master cylinder,
using the special tool.

CAUTION:
Be certain t h e snap ring is firmly seated in the
groove.
Install the piston boot into the master cylinder and
the groove in the push rod.
If the push rod joint
is
reinstalled, the push rod
length so that the distance from the center of the
master cylinder lower mounting hole to the center
of
the ioint hole is 80 m m (3.1 in).

Tighten the lock nut.
Adjust the brake pedal height if necessary (page
16).

Coat a new O-ring with brake fluid and install it onto
the hose joint
Apply locking agent to the joint screw threads.
Connect the reservoir hose joint to the master cylin-
der and secure it with the joint screw.
TORQUE: 2 (0.2 1.4
Install the master cylinder with new mounting bolts
and tighten them.
TORQUE 13 11.3 9
Connect the brake hose to the master cylinder with
the oil bolt and new sealing washers, and tighten the
oil bolt.
TORQUE: 34 (3.5
