SHOCK LINKAGE
REMOVAL
NOTE:
The linkage can be serviced w i t h the skid plate
installed, although it is easier to service if the skid
plate is removed (page
Support the vehicle with a support block to raise the
rear wheels
off the ground.
Support the and remove the following:
-shock absorber lower mounting nut and bolt
-shock arm-to-shock link nut and bolt
-shock link-to-swlngarm nut and bolt
-shock link and washer
-shock arm-to-frame nut and bolt
-shock arm

INSPECTION
lose
the
needle
rollers of the
bearing.
Remove the pivot collars and check the needle bear-
ings, pivot collars and dust seals for wear or damage.
BEARING REPLACEMENT
Remove the dust seals.
Press the needle bearing out of the shock arm and
shock link.
