Remove the following:

- engine (section

- cylinder head (section

- cylinder and piston (section

clutch, gearshift linkage, primary drive gear

pump (section 41

- flywheel (section 101

- starter motor (section

bolt, tensioner

and washer

- cam chain

cam chain drive sprocket

(section 9)

SLIDER

- t w o right crankcase bolts

Loosen the eleven left crankcase

bolts

in a

crisscross

pattern in

steps and remove them.

Place the crankcase assembly with the left side down.
Remove the right crankcase from the left crankcase

while tapping them

a t

several locations with

soft

hammer.

CAUTION:

not

pry

the crankcase apart

with

screwdriver.
