LINKAGE
Install the lock washer with the "OUTSIDE" mark fac-
ing out.
Apply oil t o the threads and seating surface of a new
clutch center lock nut and install
it onto the mainshaft.
Hold the clutch center with the special tool and tighten
the lock nut.

TORQUE: 108 (11.0 80
mainshaft
threads.
Stake the clutch center lock nut into t h e mainshaft
damage the
groove.
Coat the clutch discs
with clean engine oil.
Install the seven clutch discs and six plates alternately,
starting with the disc.
Install the
out-side clutch
disc tabs into the
shallow slots in
the clutch outer.
