Installing the Batteries
The

Matic rechargeable, NiMH batteries are removed prior to shipment. The
following instructions describe how to properly re-install these batteries.
Remove both battery access covers by inserting a coin into the slot and rotating
counterclockwise 90 degrees while lightly pressing inward. Insert three D-size NiMH
batteries into each battery holder with the positive terminals of all batteries pointing
outward. Reinstall the battery access covers by aligning the cover tabs with the holder
slots, then pressing firmly while rotating the access cover 90 degrees clockwise. See
Figure 50 for details.
