If the Mobile Cart was not purchased as an option, it is the customer’s responsibility to
provide a suitable table that meets the above requirements. Failure to provide a suitable
table may result in additional service charges in the event that Mirion Technologies
(Canberra) On-Site Service is required.
WARNING
:
The low-background system’s mobile cart is designed
for limited mobility. The cart is not designed to
transport a unit from one area to another. At no time is
the unit to be picked up, tilted, or lifted with the lead in
place. Remove all lead from the unit when it is to be
moved across a threshold, any raised floor surface,
uneven surface, up or down an incline. Remove all
lead from the unit when it is to be picked up with a
forklift or hoist.
Site Selection
Physical Requirements
An area approximately 150 cm (5 ft ) wide, 180 cm (6 ft) deep, and 150 cm (5 ft) high
[215 cm (7 ft) high with the optional 100-sample mast] is required for the system. This
includes approximately 90 cm (3 ft) behind and 90 cm (3 ft) on one side of the
instrument for maintenance and service of the instrument as shown in Figure 33. Be
sure also to allow table space for the computer and printer.
Note: Failure to leave adequate space both behind and to the side of the instrument
may result in additional service charges in the event that On-Site Service is
required.
CAUTION
:
The floor load rating should be checked to ensure that
it can safely hold the 385 kg (850 lb) weight of the
instrument.
