Appendix C System QC Charts
QC Lockout
The QC Lockout feature allows the system to apply a simple test to the Daily
Background, Alpha Efficiency, and Beta Efficiency to disable (lockout) the system if
results exceed acceptance limits. The QC Lockout feature compares the daily
measurement to the QC chart reference parameter. If the daily value exceeds the QC
Lockout
±
Y sigma limit, then:
***** SYSTEM LOCKED: VALUE EXCEEDS ± Y SIGMA LIMIT *****
***** CONTACT SUPERVISOR *****
is printed on the report and the system is disabled. The ± Y sigma limit is
programmable as 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 and an OFF selection disables the feature.
The supervisor entering the Setup | Set Security menu sequence resets the system
lockout. The supervisor would then enter their password and reselect the desired
security level. The QC Lockout feature is disabled if the system security level is set to
OFF.
