Detector Parameters
The detector parameters menu is provided to enter or edit sample detector and guard
detector operational parameters.
Note: The detector high voltage and threshold values used to test this system will be
set at the factory and should not require editing. Additionally, the sample
detector gain will also be set at the factory.

Guard Det HV
Guard Det HV menu item allows you to set the guard detector high voltage from 0 V to
1250 V. The unit will default to the last set value.
Note: Changing the guard detector high voltage will invalidate all current system
calibration procedures. This does not impact gain calibration.
To enter a guard detector high voltage:
1.
Press the
Setup
key.
2.
Using the arrow keys, position the cursor “>” to item “8” in the menu, Detector
Parameters, and then press the
Enter
key.
3.
Using the arrow keys position the cursor “>” to item “1”, Guard Det HV, and
then press the
Enter
key.
4.
Enter the value for the guard detector high voltage. This value can be found on
the system test document.
5.
Press the
Enter
key to accept. If the value has been changed, a warning
message will be displayed:
WARNING!
Adjustment will clear all stored calibrations.
Press Enter to continue.
