Activity Units
The conversion factor converts sample alpha and beta counts into a desired unit of
measure. This is often used for converting the sample counts to a unit of activity other
than DPM. The resulting sample net activity will be multiplied by the selected factor.
The table below shows for each unit a description of that unit and its conversion factor.
You can choose from a pre-defined unit or define your own.

To select the pre-defined Activity Unit:
1.
Press the
Setup
key.
2.
Using the arrow keys, position the cursor “>” to item “3” in the menu, Define
Procedure, and then press the
Enter
key.
3.
Using the arrow keys, select the procedure, and then press the
Enter
key.
4.
Using the arrow keys, position the cursor “>” to item “8”, Activity Units, and
then press the
Enter
key.
5.
Using the arrow keys, position the cursor “>” to select the conversion factor
and then press the
Enter
key. A user-defined conversion factor can be entered.
6.
Press the
Enter
key to accept and automatically advance to the next question
in the procedure definition.
7.
If only the Conversion Factor and/or Sigma are modified, pressing the
Cancel
key will return to the Define Procedure Menu. Pressing the
Cancel
key again
will bring up a “Save Changes?” question. Select
1. No
if the change was an
error or
2. Yes
to save the change(s) made.
