Enter the desired Alpha Warning Limit and then press the
Enter
key.

Enter the desired Alpha Alarm Limit and then press the
Enter
key.

Enter the desired Beta Warning Limit and then press the
Enter
key.

Enter the desired Beta Alarm Limit and then press the
Enter
key.

Press the
Enter
key to accept and automatically advance to the next parameter
in the procedure. Press the
Cancel
key to return to the Define Procedure
Menu. Pressing the
Cancel
key again will bring up a “Save Changes?”
question. Select
1. No
if the change was an error or
2. Yes
to save the
change(s) made.
Method Blank Enable
User procedures may be defined to use a method blank for background determination.
To enter the method blank:
1.
Press the
Setup
key.
2.
Using the arrow keys, position the cursor “>” to item “3” in the menu, Define
Procedure, and then press the
Enter
key.
3.
Using the arrow keys, select the procedure, and then press the
Enter
key.
4.
Using the arrow keys, position the cursor “>” to item “10”, Method Blank
Enable, and then press the
Enter
key.
5.
Select Method Blank mode desired, “OFF/Disable” or “ON/Enable” and then
press the
Enter
key to return to the Define Procedure menu.
When
Count
is pressed, the system will locate the first group plate. If method blank is
enabled for the associated procedure, the first sample counted is treated as the method
blank. The counts stored are used as the background value for all subsequent unknown
sample counts within that procedure. While counting the method blank the display will
show (for example):
