1. When data is transferred (written) to the PCU, it is first copied to the PCU’s

internal receive buffer.

2. A check is then performed on all of the values in the receive buffer.

3. If a checked value is within the acceptable range, it is written to the appropri-

ate parameter or data area.

If a value is found to be outside the acceptable range, the appropriate error
code (in the range 1000 to 4019) is output to the operating memory area
and, at the same time, all of the data in the buffer is annulled. (In this case,
the transferred parameter or data is not written to its respective parameter or
data area.)
