Advanced Menu
Selecting “Advanced” from the menu bar on the Main Menu displays a menu with the
following options:
n
Integrated Peripherals
Sets parameters for I/O ports, diskette controller, PCI/SCSI adapter, PCI/IDE
adapter, and monitor type.
n
Advanced Chipset Control
Sets PCI parameters
n
Plug and Play O/S
Enables or disables the Plug and Play feature.
n
PCI Devices
Enables or disables the Combed I/O resource allocation. If enabled, PCI devices
requesting I/O resources are checked for requests.
n
Large Disk Access Mode.
Select DOS if using DOS operating system. Select Other if you have UNIX™,
Novell Netware™, or other operating system.
The following subsections describe Advanced Menu options.
NOTE:
Accessing the Advanced menu might
require a Supervisor password.
Parameters that can be modified directly from the Advanced menu do not have the right-
pointing triangle to the left of the parameter name. These parameters can be modified by
pressing the F5, F6, - or + keys.
Parameters with submenus that are available from the Advanced menu have a right-
pointing triangle to the left of the parameter. Use the arrow keys to move the cursor to the
parameter, then press
Enter
to open the submenu.
