The numbers in the instructions below refer to the stage numbers shown on the table.
1. Enter the left part of the table with
headwind or tailwind as appropriate, then
move down to the ground distance to go . Move across to the right to identify
the entry row in part
.
2. Enter the top part with cruise altitude
and move along that row to the present
weight
. Move down to identify the entry column in part
.
3. The intersection of the row and column thus identified in part
of the table will
show the fuel required to cover the remaining distance to the destination.
NOTES:
1.
If the ground distance to go falls between two values in the table
then interpolate the fuel required from the corresponding rows in
part
.
2. The effect of temperature on the en route fuel check is negligible.
