Setting the date and time
Date and Time Setting
The time setting can be performed in 2 ways: automatically adjusting the time and time difference of
FOMA terminal, or manually entering the current time to the terminal.
When automatic adjustment is set, the time is corrected in Japan according to the information obtained
from the DoCoMo network. Outside Japan, the time will be corrected according to the information from
the network of the connected service provider, when such information is received.

The automatic time correction takes place when the UIM is inserted and you turn the power on in a location
where radio waves reach.
・
The automatic time correction sometimes causes a time error of several seconds. In addition, it may fail to
correct the time depending on the radio wave condition.
・
If the time information is received while i-
α
ppli is running, the time may not be corrected depending on the i-
α
ppli.
・
When
Auto time adjust
is set to
ON
, the time may not be corrected for a while. To enable the automatic time
correction, turn the power off and then on.
・
When no UIM is inserted or FOMA terminal is out of the service area, the automatic time correction is not
performed even if you turn the power off and then on.
・
If the time difference is adjusted while you stay overseas, a message appears indicating so. After that, dates
and times of the calls dialed/received and mails sent/received are recorded and displayed in the local time.
・
The time difference may not be automatically adjusted, depending on the network of the service provider
that you are using during stay overseas.
・
If
Auto time adjust
of this setting and Two Time Zone Clocks are set to
ON
, when you receive the information
to adjust the time difference from the network of the connected service provider, the two time zone clocks
appear on the standby display. However, if a message appears indicating that the time difference cannot be
adjusted, the two time zone clocks will not appear.
