Press the Start 

 button. PRINTING... appears on the LCD display.

The WorkCentre 490cx prints a head cleaning test pattern.  Notice the series 
of diagonal lines across the top and bottom of the test pattern. Breaks within 
a line of the same color indicate a clogged nozzle. Try running the Clean 
Head procedure again if you see breaks in the diagonal lines.

To clean the nozzles from your PC:

In Windows 95/98 or Windows 2000:

Go to Start, Programs, Xerox WorkCentre 490cx.

Select Xerox WorkCentre 490cx Control Program.

The Control Program window opens.

Note:

For Windows NT 4.0

, open the 490cx properties by right clicking on
