25 % during operation is not allowed. For effort testing use the press with a rod stroke of 100 mm
and a speed of 100 strokes per minute. If the shock absorber rod travels freely, it indicates that
the unit is faulty.
In case of the fluid leakage from the shock absorber, t is recommended to tighten the
shock absorber body nut.
The shock absorber play along the fastening pin or along its axis is not permissible. If
necessary, replace the snubber bushings 10, according to the Fig. 48, and snubber bushings 26,
according to the Fig. 51. Tighten the nut fastening the shock absorber with 40 Nm (4 kgf m). If
the cotter pin holes fail to match with nut slots, tighten up the nut into coincidence and cotter it.
The truck can be equipped with shock absorbers of different manufacturing plants (

АЗ
– Baranovichi,
ГЗАА
– Grodno,
ПААЗ
– Pervouralsk); such shock absorbers differ in the
valve system and specifications. For this reason replace the shock absorbers of the same manufac-
turer (manufacturing plant information is found on the shock absorbers body or case lower part).
5.3.3 Wheels and Tires
5.3.3.1 The truck is equipped with wheels of disk type and tires with controllable pres-
sure.
The wheel consists of: the wheel valve 1 (Fig. 53), the wheel rim base 2 in assembly with
the disk and wheel lock ring stopper 3, wheel lock ring 4 and side wheel 5.
The wheel design feature is the toroidal bead seats which provide the reliable fit of the
tyre to the rim at any stage of air pressure control. There is a well on the rim base for the wheel
assembly and disassembly.
The wheels can be used both with detachable and nondetachable bead edges on the side
opposite to the lock part.
