When the power take-off is engaged the compressed air is supplied to the diaphragm
chamber of the engaging mechanism via air lines. Diaphragm 6 (see Figures 127,128) via rod 10
with fork 9 meshes driven shaft gear 5 with drive gear 3. The rod 10 acts on the switch 12, closing
its contacts and the power take-off engagement indicator on the dashboard lights up. When the
power take-off is disengaged, solenoid valve shuts off compressed air supply and connects cham-
ber of the power take-off engaging mechanism with the atmosphere; the air is let out of the cham-
ber, and the rod 10 with fork 9 under the action of the spring 11 brings driven shaft gear 5 out of
mesh with drive gear 3.

5.9.2 Auxiliary Power Take-Off
The power is taken off the primary shaft of the transfer case via movable coupling 2 (see
Figure 129) and is intended for driving the winch.
Auxiliary power take-off can operate at any transfer case gear-shift, including the neutral
one. For lubrication of the gear and shafts bearings, a plunger pump is installed in the casing.
