5.5.5.5 The hand-operated brake valve shown in Fig. 97,98 is designed to control the 

spring  brakes  and  allows  to  check  the  sufficiency  of  truck  tractor  parking  brake  for  whole  road 
train holding on the grade. 

Hand-operated brake valve for auxiliary and parking brake system is used together with 

brake  chambers  with  spring  brakes.  Additional  connection  to  the  trailer  brake  control  valve  en-
sures braking action transmission to the trailer. Position for truck parking brake efficiency check 
is available.
