The duration of ‘lamp-“-”’ connection determines the information display mode (con-
nection of the lamp to “-” during 3-6.3 seconds activates the system mode). After pressing the di-
agnostics button for a specified time, the pilot lamp lights up for approximately 0.5 seconds to
confirm that the grounding has been registered and received by the electronic control unit.
If a new error appeared during reading is registered by the control unit, or if the pilot
lamp is connected to minus terminal for more than 6,3 sec., the system exits the diagnostics mode.
If the pilot lamp was connected to the minus for more than 15 sec., then the pilot lamp breakage is
registered.
If an active error was registered while switching the ignition on, then the control unit
will display only this error in the diagnostics mode activation; if several active errors were regis-
tered, then the active fault which was registered last will be displayed in the diagnostics mode.
To exit the diagnostics mode it's necessary to switch the ignition off/on or to drive
the truck (the speed signal from several axles available).
If no active errors were registered at switching the ignition on, then at the diagnostics
mode activation the passive errors (not present in the system at this moment) will be displayed in
the order reverse to their appearance (at first the last error, then the first one). The number of the
error doesn't show the succession of the error appearance. The passive errors output mode is off
when the last passive error recorded in the electronic unit memory has been displayed.
The list of errors codes for Wabco and the list of possible troubles and methods of trou-
ble-shooting are given in Tables 7 and 8.
If the pilot lamp doesn't go out after the trouble-shooting, contact the service centre.
Shut the engine off and disconnect the system power supply during repair and trouble-
shooting. The system is disconnected from the power supply when the starter and instruments
switch key is turn in the position «OFF» and the ground is disconnected.
Disconnect the plug connectors from the electronic control unit prior to welding
works.
