5.3.2.2 The hydraulic shock absorbers (Fig. 49) dampen oscillations which arise in the
course of elastic strain on the suspension parts when the truck is being driven on a bumpy road.
The hydraulic snubbers function as follows: during relative displacements of the sprung and un-
sprung parts of the truck, the liquid in the snubber flows from one cavity into the other through
the small holes, resists the vertical shift of the rod and dampens the truck oscillations.
Using the snubbers extends the springs operation time and improve the truck stability and
response. The snubbers stroke is 300 mm.
