- rotating the wheel manually, make sure there is no friction between the brake drum and
the brake shoe;
- tighten the nut with the torque 300-350 N.m (30-35 kgf.m). During the process turn the
hub until the rollers set in the bearings. Afterwards, loosen the nut by 1/5-1/6 revolutions. Fix the
locking washer.
If the nut hole does not align with the locking washer hole, loosen the tightening of the
nut by the value which does not exceed the space between two adjacent holes. Fix the retaining
washer, tighten the locknut with the torque 400-500 N.m (40-50 kgf.m), and lock it.
To connect the wheel pumping hose with the wheel valve, set the semi-axle with the hub
in a way that the hose is located opposite the wheel valve symmetrical to the wheel studs.
After mounting the wheels, check the wheel bearing adjustment during the haulage of 10-
20 km. If they were adjusted properly, the hub should be cold or slightly warm. If it is signifi-
cantly hot, check the bearing adjustment10-20
