Brake chambers installation is shown in Fig. 80, 81.
The brake chamber 1 installation depth (Fig. 80) is 25 mm. It is twisted in as far as it will
go and than it is turned inversely till the system pneumatic outputs are directed backwards. For
the connection tightness, use silicone-or rubber-based sealant. Tighten the lock nut 2 with a
tightening torque 300±20 Nm (30±2 kgf m) by means of the locknut wrench

Install the brake chambers with spring brake in accordance with Fig. 81:
- install the chamber as far as it will go (installation depth is 25 mm);
- turn it inversely till the outputs 11, 12 are directed backwards;
- tighten the lock nut 2 with a tightening torque 300±20 Nm (30±2 kgf m).
The brake chamber and wedge mechanism connection is to be sealed in using sili-
cone-or rubber-based sealant.
The wedge mechanism and brake chambers check for damage and wear should be
done not later than after two years from the commencement of operation. Replace the dam-
aged units. Immediately replace the rubber parts in case of their damage.
