5.2.2.3 Transmision units control is remote one, electric-pneumatic, consists of the
transfer case gearshift mechanism, transfer case differential lock mechanism, auxiliary PTO en-
gagement mechanism *, PTO engagement mechanism *, intermediate and rear axles cross axle
differential locks mechanisms, solenoid valves installed on the frame rh sidemember, pipings and
switches in the cab.
The transmission units pneumatic control diagram is shown in Fig. 33.

In order to engage the transfer case low gear, press the switch on the board in the cabin.
When releasing the release button, solenoid valves deactivate, and the gear which is engaged is
kept by means of the sprung ball lock 13 (Fig.32).
The neutral is engaged at the simultaneous activation of the solenoid valves «

» and «

33 and moving of the neutral 9 (Fig. 32) till it thrusts against the nave collar 7 and of moving pis-
ton 22 till the piston 10 thrusts into the neutral piston 9. The lower gear is engaged when the pis-
ton 10 moves till it thrusts against the part 25. The high gear is engaged at the piston 22 travel till
the piston 10 thrusts against the neutral piston 9.
