By moving foot from valve button the air from the cylinder goes into the atmosphere, the
rod under the action of pull-back spring turns the lever and shutter into their initial position.
The auxiliary brake is actuated and the blocked drive cuts the fuel supply. The design of
the air cylinder of fuel supply shut-off is identical to the design of auxiliary brake air cylinder.
When traveling with the auxiliary brake applied:
- do not exceed the cranking speed of 2100 min-
1

- do not shift the gears in the gearbox from high gear to low gear at the cranking speed,
near to 2100 min
-1
.
If required, reduce the cranking speed by applying service brake and throw into low gear.
If the shutter 4 of the auxiliary brake turns with difficulty, remove the brake body with
the shutter, wash in kerosene and blow through with compressed air. If the rods of the air cylin-
ders or the control valve button seize, disassemble the units, wash in kerosene, replace faulty
parts, lubricate the friction surfaces with a lubricant and put them into place.
Adjust the shutter position by changing the screwing length L of the air cylinder rod with
the fork.
If the shutter is installed correctly, the key is located along the intake pipe axis when the
air cylinder piston is in extreme upper position.
