Headlamps adjustment is the adjustment of the lower beam initial inclination angle.
The lower beam of the headlamps is adjusted with the help of special devices designed
for these purposes in accordance with Operation Manuals for those devices.
5.6.4.4 The Headlamps.
The direction of
light beams is adjusted by two screws available
under the lamp rim. Screw 3 (according to Fig. 108) is intended for adjusting the light direction
vertically (up and down), and screw 2, horizontally (right and left).
For adjusting place the unloaded truck on a flat ground in front of an upright screen at a
distance of (7,5 ± 0,3)mm apart from the headlamp diffuser and, removing rims from both lamps,
switch on the light.
Replace blackened bulbs before they burn. When replacing a burn-out bulb, restore the
seal in the optical element. Name and specifications of lamps used in the truck are listed in Ap-
pendix 7.
The truck is equipped with rear fog lamp intended for the truck marking in the conditions
of poor visibility.
Caution! Do not drive the truck with rear fog lamp on in the conditions of clear vis-
ibility.
5.6.4.5 Headlamps adjustment. Setting of the initial inclination angle of lower beam
light.
Headlamps adjustment and control is performed with the help of a screen. The screen can be
fixed or portable.
The screen should have flat and mat surface. The screen width is not less than
2.5 m.
The screen should be marked by three vertical lines (Figure 109). The central (axial) line
corresponds to intersection of central longitudinal screen plane; two other lines to the left and to
the right are the lines of the headlamps centers projection. The screen is also marked by the hori-
zontal line

and the site on which the truck is placed
is equal to the distance between the headlamp centre and the surface of the site.
The screen plane should be perpendicular to the site plane. Deviation of perpendicularity
should not exceed 5 mm for 1 m. The site where measurements are performed should be plain and
1-outer rim; 2,3-adjusting screws
