Proxy Properties: NTP—Servers tab
The Servers tab is used to define the servers the security gateway uses to synchronize the security
gateway’s internal clock.

Proxy Properties: NTP—Description tab
Optionally, provides an extended description. This information is useful to help track changes or it can
be used as criteria for searches.
The maximum length is 20,000 alphanumeric characters.
Caption
An optional, brief description of the NTP proxy.
The maximum length is 128 characters.
For longer descriptions, use the Description tab.

Field
Description
Internal NTP servers
Servers that are used to synchronize the system clocks.
Optionally, these are needed if the security gateway does not use the public NTP
servers. For example, if the security gateway is configured as an intranet gateway
behind another security gateway, its access to the public NTP servers is blocked, and
you may need to configure it to point to the external security gateway.
NTP server
IP address of the time server to which to synchronize.
When working with server IP addresses, the following options are available:

Add
Adds the IP address IP address in the Server IP text box to the list of NTP servers.
■
Modify
Changes the server IP address selected to the value you typed in the Server IP text
box.
■
Delete
Removes a server from the list.
Run Auto Configure
When you check this button, the security gateway attempts to synchronize its time
with the defined list of servers.
