Entrust authentication server properties—General tab
The security gateway supports the use of Entrust certificates to authenticate Symantec Client VPNs
and gateway-to-gateway VPNs. The Entrust authentication method requires a configuration setup,
both on the client and the security gateway.
You must define an Entrust user at the security gateway to log on to the Entrust Server and an Entrust
user for each Symantec Client VPN users that needs to authenticate.

Entrust authentication server properties—Description tab
Optionally, provides an extended description. This information is useful to help track changes or it can
be used as criteria for searches.
The maximum length is 20,000 alphanumeric characters.
Internal Properties—General tab
Symantec’s internal authentication server is a local database of users and groups. The primary purpose
of the internal authentication server is to provide a mechanism for administrators without an external
authentication server to configure and control access for defined users and groups.
