Repairing or deleting infected files
You can configure the security gateway to attempt to repair an infected file. If the file is unrepairable,
the security gateway deletes the infected file. For the SMTP and POP3 protocols, you can configure the
email message to notify the user that an infected file was repaired.
You can use internationalized characters. However, internationalized characters might not correctly
display in the email, depending on the encoding of the email body.
Ensure that you enable the Insert repair summary setting in the appropriate security gateway rule. If
you do not, the security gateway does not attempt to use the messaging feature.
Note:
This option is available for SMTP, POP3, HTTP and FTP.
Note:
Local administrator privileges could be set in a way that does not allow permissions to change
antivirus, antispam, or content filtering settings.
Prerequisites
None.
