Monitors field descriptions
Associated tasks
The task that you can perform with this window is:

Status
The Status tabs let you monitor current information about the state of the connections to the security
gateway.
■
The Connection Summary tab shows a summary of all connection traffic.
■
The Active Connections tab lists the current active connections, including VPN tunnels. On this
tab, you can also terminate active connections.

Field
Definition
Network Throughput
Provides information about the throughput, in megabits per second (Mbps), on each
configured network interface and the combined throughput, in megabits per second
(Mbps), on all configured network interfaces.
Network Interface
Lets you select a network interface to monitor throughput on that interface.
The default is Select an interface, which displays the total throughput for all
interfaces.
When you select a specific interface from the drop-down list, the chart displays total
throughput, and incoming and outgoing throughput for the interface.
System/Usage
Percentage of CPU and memory usage.
System/Active connections
Number of active connections.
Check boxes let you display the following:

Total
Both client VPN and clientless VPN connections
■
VPN
Client VPN connections
■
Clientless VPN
Clientless VPN connections
You can use these check boxes in any combination.
Disk Usage
Graphical display of free (available) disk space, system usage, and log entries.
Ambient temperature
Ambient temperature of the appliance in degrees Celsius (C) and degrees Farenheit
(F).
A green check mark is displayed when these values are in the safe range.
A red circle with an x is displayed when a value exceeds the safe range. If you see a
red x, you should view the log file for messages that describe the nature of the
problem and possible actions.
Fan
Fan status in revolutions per minute (RPM).
Two speeds are shown if there is one fan assembly and four speeds are shown if
there are two fan assemblies.
Power supply
Power supply status (models 5640 and 5660 only), when more than one power
supply is installed.
Disk
Disk status (models 5640 and 5660 only), when more than one disk is installed.
