Operation
Tap the [File Form at] key.
Tap the [Color/Grayscale] or [B/W] tab and select the format m ode f or
scanning.
Th e file format for s en ding a sc an n ed image is spe c ifie d wh e n the destin ation is
stored in a o ne - touc h k e y; h owever, you can c han ge the format at the time of
tran smission .
If [PDF/ En c rypt] is spe c ifie d for th e file format, th e passw ord e n try s cree n
appears whe n scan n in g . Enter a password with up to 3 2 ch arac te rs .
Note th e following wh en [PDF /High Compression ] is spec ified in th e [Color/ Graysc ale ] file
format.
Wh e n broadc astin g to an addre ss with [PDF /High Co mpress ion ] spec ified, all file s
for th e scan ne r w ill be se n t as High Compre ssion PDF file s.
Wh e n broadc astin g to an addre ss with [PDF /High Co mpress ion ] an d [PDF / High
Compre ssion / Ultra Fin e ] spe c ifie d, all file s for th e sc an n e r will be se nt as Hig h
Compre ssion PDF (Ultra Fine) file s.
If [High Compres sion / PDF] is spe c ified, the re s olution c an n ot be c h an ge d in the
sc an n er mode. Th e re solu tion is se t to 3 00 x 3 0 0 dpi.
If [PDF/ High Compre ssion] is set wh e n a re solu tio n se ttin g has be e n spe c ified in
sc an n er (or othe r) mode , th e re solu tion s e ttin g w ill be c anc e le d an d the High
Compre ssion PDF re solu tion will be use d for transmission.
