RECEIVING A FAX AUTOM ATIC ALLY
Overview
When the reception mode is set to "Auto Reception", the machine will receive and print
faxes automatically.
Operation
Wh e n fax re c e ption is in progre ss , it is possible to re se rve a tran smission by
pe rforming th e tran smission in me mory tran smissio n mode.
FAX TRANSMISS ION METHOD S
To prin t rec e ive d fax e s, mak e su re th at th e re quire d pape r is loade d in to th e
mach ine 's paper trays. It is not n e c e ssary to load 8- 1 / 2 " x 1 1 " (A4) paper and
5 -1/ 2 " x 8- 1/ 2 " (B5) pape r in both the ve rtic al (

orien tations . Diffe re nc e s in orie n tation are au tomatic ally adju ste d wh e n faxe s are
re c eived.
Wh e n a fax smalle r th an 8-1 /2 " x 1 1" (A4 ) size is re c e ive d, th e siz e of th e pape r
u se d for prin tin g w ill vary depe n ding on th e orie ntation (ve rtic al or h orizon tal) in
wh ich th e s ende r plac e d the origin al.

wh en prin tin g th e re ce ive d data, the firs t re serve d job is prin te d be fore th e
re c eived data.
Re c eived faxes will n ot be printe d whe n th e mach in e cann ot prin t due to an e rror
c ondition s u ch as ou t of pape r, ou t of toner, or a pape r mis fee d. The fax es will be
prin te d au tomatic ally wh e n th e e rror con dition is c leare d. (If the pape r h as run o ut,
