Chapter 8: Maintenance
3-Year Service
Introduction
This operation may be conducted after three years of use to facilitate optimal
performance of the ABL77 analyzer.
3-year service
procedure
Inspect and replace the following parts as necessary.
•
Valve board (REF: 902-812)
Ensure that the sensor pin receptacle is not damaged. The pin receptacles
should be clear and free from debris.
•
Manifold (REF: 924-297)
Inspect the manifold for damage and debris. Ensure the tubing is free from
pinholes and kinks. Replace this assembly as necessary.
•
Manifold gasket (REF: 834-656)
The manifold gasket should provide a liquid-tight barrier between the
analyzer electronics and the cal pack fluids. It should be free of tears and
debris that would inhibit proper positioning of the manifold. Replace the
manifold gasket as necessary.
•
Waste pump with waste pump head (REF: 580-077)
Ensure that the waste pump is free moving without excessive noise.
Disassemble the waste pump head and inspect the tubing inside. The
tubing should not be brittle or exhibit tears or shavings. Replace the waste
pump and waste pump head as necessary.
•
Tubing kit for check valve fluidics (REF: 905-781)
Ensure that this waste connector does not exhibit excessive build-up of
blood and protein deposits. Change the tubing as necessary. Cleaning the
tubing pieces and re-using them is not recommended.
•
Printer module (REF: 902-686)
Ensure the printer roller is free of blemishes, build-up debris. Ensure that it
turns freely with the printer knob in the down position. Verify that
characters are printing completely and properly. Replace the printer
module as necessary.
•
Battery pack (REF: 431-016)
Ensure the battery pack is functioning properly by following the Battery
Pack procedure in
Chapter
4. Replace the battery pack as necessary.
